To all the site viewers, I have intended to make this site emulate my former website, which was called “a valuable resource for writers.” However, I suddenly became caregiver for my roommate/partner of 31 years. He has inoperable brain cancer, as well as lung and adrenal tumors. So, my plans for this site are delayed.

As some of you have seen, I continue to promote other authors I meet. I hope you will check out their sites and books. As well, I hope you will peruse the pages of this site and check out my book offerings too. My latest book, Dead to Life, is the 3rd book in my Sara Mason Mysteries.  It could use a boost up because I do not have the many hours it usually takes to promote.

Over time, I will try to keep up with new posts but it’s been difficult. I can only work when he’s asleep or during the late-night hours. Usually when he’s awake, he requires all my time. He also has many medical personnel coming and going daily as that is the way patients are managed in these days of Covid. Somewhere in there, I have the usual household chores of laundry, cooking, and cleaning, too, because no one can come into our home to help due to Covid. I’m grateful for being able to order groceries online. The only time we go out is for his radiation and immunology treatments.

My first obligation is to my partner. He is very ill and weak. After 31 years, I cannot neglect him. At one point in my life, when all my self-employment contracts ended and the economy took a dive in the late 1980s, he’s the one who kept me from being homeless. He gave me an abundance of work and even a place to stay so we could work side-by-side. We’ve come a long way together over the years. I will see him through this critical time in his life.
